David Jenkins (he/him)

Games Quality (QA/QC), Release Management & Accessibility Expert

I have over ten years experience in the videogames industry and a further ten in leadership/management roles. I have helped to create award winning teams that make award winning games, devising and implementing Quality Strategies and Accessibility Best Practices.

"The Streak"

I oversaw a four-year, multi-project run (including the BAFTA Award-winning Rollerdrome, and the D.I.C.E Award-winning OlliOlli World, as well as several unannounced titles) of milestone and submission passes: first time, on time (and on budget), every time!

SUBMISSIONS & RELEASE MANAGEMENT

Over 300 SKUs

Between supporting 1st party submissions and multi-platform releases at Roll7 and SEGA, and running the entire process at Curve Digital (now Curve Games), I have successfully launched over 300 SKUs of more than 50 products across console, mobile and PC (including Steam, EA Origin Store, Epic Store and more).

Accessibility & Design

I also have a particular passion for Accessibility, having helped to create and implement Best Practices at SEGA and Roll7.

This extends into some UX design work, especially around onboarding and tutorials, which also utilizes my background as a professional sports coach.

Part-Time Production

I have seen several projects over the line while acting as a Producer (alongside my primary roles) both at Curve and at Roll7, including Motorsport Manager for Nintendo Switch, the Beholder Complete Edition (PS4) and the Xbox/PC Game Pass releases of Rollerdrome.

ADHD and ASD keep me busy

I am honoured to have been immortalised in my performance as the main radio announcer in Rollerdrome.

I was also delighted to be asked to co-write and perform a sea shanty for the OlliOlli World: Finding the Flowzone trailer.

In addition, I helped to design and implement the Roll7 website, as well as many others (including this one!), and have set up and managed multiple B2C social media communities, created corporate branding and designed posters/fliers for a number of events.

Finally, I am a former professional sports coach and have helped to write and deliver a range of coaching courses, ongoing development programs and governance policies.

David is a brilliant Head of QA and an avid Accessibility advocate, which makes him the perfect companion for any UX team. He proactively makes sure that Accessibility is considered during pre-production and integrated as an essential element in the pipeline, and he manages to do so with educational documents and data to back up his ideas.

Miguel Sanz Vidal

UI/UX Designer

David is a core member of the Roll7 family, and has built an incredibly strong team and made a huge impact on the business and culture.

Under his leadership of the QA department, and with his experience in Release Management and first party compliance, Roll7 has been able to accomplish an extraordinary level of quality.

Daniel Gronner

QA Lead

Working alongside him at Roll7 he easily managed multiple team members of varying levels up to QA Lead across several different projects in multiple time zones. All this while simultaneously delivering constructive and often crucial feedback ranging from in game bugs to usability and accessibility concerns, the latter of which he is incredibly passionate about.

James Varma

Lead Game Designer

David leads an expert crew of QA bods who have helped Roll7 ship a suite of successful and stable games. Every single one passed console sub first time, in no small part down to QA's diligence and patience, and his leadership.

I also value David's drive to help us constantly improve our allyship and accessibility. He's a big influence on how I'd like to develop games.
